Sustainability Awards
Uplifting the future of global travel.
Four AWFT Sustainability Awards recognise outstanding individuals, companies and destinations whose work redefines what's possible in tourism.
The travel industry has become increasingly aware of its responsibility for sustainability. During the past decade, governments, companies and individuals have worked tirelessly to reduce the environmental and social impacts of tourism. The AWFT Sustainability Awards celebrate those whose willingness to think ahead and act responsibly has earned them recognition.
Awards can recognise destinations, businesses or individuals who have developed and brought to market an activity that better positions the industry, suppliers and travellers going forward.

TravelTech Innovation Award
Pioneering use of AI, big data and digital platforms — not innovation for its own sake, but for measurable industry value.
Societal Development Award
Job creation, skills development, social inclusion, empowerment of underrepresented groups, models that benefit local communities at scale.

How to apply.
Provide a 200-word description of the company and / or the project — vision, outcome, anticipated impact. Add as many photos as possible and the lead contact for the project. Companies can make multiple submissions.
The award is handed out in person at the forum on 29 October in Paris. Please ensure that you, someone from the nominated company or a representative can travel to Paris to accept the award if your application is successful. We notify winners a few weeks before the event.
Only submissions in English will be accepted.
